British Superbike Championship 2013 Rd. 3 Oulton Park

Glorious sunshine on the hottest day of the year so far at Oulton Park, Cheshire for the 3rd round of this years' BSB championship. Great way to spend a bank holiday Monday!

P&S in Liverpool

Nowadays, with the ubiquity of smartphones, most people carry a camera round with them at all times. My iPhone camera is, admittedly, rather impressive, and great for quick shots (and quick uploads) to Instagram et.al. However, I prefer to have a little bit more control over exposure, and so I keep an old Canon Ixus 120 P&S in the boot of my car. It's been gathering a bit of dust of late, so I took the opportunity to take a few shots around the Liver Buildings in Liverpool while scouting shoot locations for a lovely Bride & Groom who I have the pleasure of photographing on their big day this summer.

From a relatively old & cheap compact, I quite like the results (no bias!)

Lisa & Gary, The Grange, Thornton Hough.

After having spent the previous week preparing for a winter wonderland wedding (on the last day of March!) I was amazed to wake up to glorious sunshine on the Morning of Lisa & Gary's big day, and am pleased to report the sun attended throughout the celebrations; Fantastic weather, for a fantastic couple!

Lisa & Gary's wedding graced the picturesque village of Thornton Hough, on the Wirral, at The Grange Hotel. The venue has lots of interesting features, including a rather large tree growing through the middle of the bar area(!), and was attended by Lisa and Gary's wonderful family & friends. A marvellous wedding, thoroughly enjoyed by all, on an exquisite day, in delightful surroundings.

Turning Leaves

Well, after the week-long English summer, comes the inevitable crunch of fallen leaves underfoot, as autumn marches ever onwards toward the long dark winter ahead.
